Re: Were Quests

Heres a good Lionwere write up

Quest NPC: Burgomaster Delvin in Forkwatch E, Sondereel Village.
Tail Quest NP: Corindas in Forkwatch E, Sondereel Village.

Borgomaster Delvin will ask you to escort Lionell Riddick safely through the Salt Mines. Travel to the Salt Mines (W) and locate Riddick in the mine. Descend the spiraling stairwell, he spawns in the first adjacent room. After you have spoken with Riddick he will be begin to ascend the stairwell. When he reaches the top of the stairwell the person who triggered him should receive a pop-up. There have been issues where other characters with the quest log have received it, so keep back. Once he is clear of the stairwell 3 mobs will spawn and engage him. They will con the same level as the person who recieved the pop-up. One is a nec, the other two melee. After the mobs have been defeated Riddick will continue on his way. When he reaches the courtyard he will again be ambushed by the same types of mobs. Defeat the mobs and accompany Riddick to the tree. Once there, have the person who triggered him speak with him. This will update their log. Return to the Burgomaster for the second part of the quest.

Travel north from GM into Kelinar (SW) There, you should find Herman Forrestor. After you have spoken with him back-up quickly to avoid aggroing the mobs which spawn. Three hunters will spawn to assist Herman. They will con dark blue to the person who has triggered the quest. Herman will con white. Engage each mob individually and assure the person with the quest logged is in-group when Herman is killed. Their quest log should then be updated. Return to the Burgomaster and collect your reward.

You will now be required to log the tail quest with Corindas. Do so and begin farming the appropriate lionwere. After you have received the infection pop-up you will be asked to hunt down Jensen in the South Crossroads zone. He can be found roaming near the main road. He cons red to the person whom triggers him. Bring assistance.

The following stats are at level 60. The first form costs 50 cms and is a level 40 spell. The second costs 25 and is a level 50 spell.

Lionwere - Feral Lion/Lioness - Primordial Lion/Lioness

Sta 45/80/120
Agi 45/80/120
Hp 0/300/350
Int 0/Resistible with Ar

"Were" to get infected:

The Hunt (lvl 60 - confirmed)
Abysmal Sea (lvl 55-60 - confirmed)
South Barren Coast (lvl 50 - confirmed)
Fort Alliance
Centaur Valley

Forkwatch
Toxxulia South
Elephant Graveyard

Level 40 Spell Quest:

Speak with your class archetype NPC in Sondereel Village. They will instruct you to speak with a few NPCs and engage two mobs. The first, an undead slave can be found just north of Oasis near the road. Don't wander to far. It cons white to a 60 and is not difficult to solo. You will then be asked to speak with an NPC in Fort Alliance (SE) and Merry by Water (C)

The final mob Zipnick, is in Zenter's Keep. He is located behind the castle. Look for a series of stones arranged in a circle surrounded by mist. He cons white to a 60. Again, he is not difficult at 60. It is rumored that he is a triggered mob which spawns with in ten minutes of the quest being logged. If this is indeed the case be sure to coach to ZK as quickly as possible.

In Centaur Valley ( SE ) there are tons of Lionweres which are good for a 35ish toons. To get there, coach to blackwater then run north along road. Before reaching the first guard tower, head east

Noss wrote:
Before turning in the item from Merry-By-Water, read the following scenarios which will help you get the last mob everytime. Zipnik is a Quest Triggered Mob...and only spawns within about 10 minutes of someone logging the final part of the abiltity quest. I wasted several hours there and would have wasted many more had it not been for Elysium and Ortez. I couldn't bear to let any more people get shafted or "unwillingly" steal Zipnik from someone else. Also, if you have had it logged and didn't get your mob right away, you have to start the ENTIRE QUEST over. (Devs should at least make it so you just have to relog the last part IMO)

a.) If you can't coach there and are solo, you should go grab a mob, drag him back to the spawn point of Zipnik (between to stone walls near Zentar Lake to the left of the entrance to Zentar's Keep), and let him kill you. Go log the quest and rez yourself back, buff and kill Zipnik.

b.) If you can coach to Zentar and you are solo, turn in the piece to the QG in Sondereel Village, then hurry and coach safetly to Zentars. Go to the spawn point, it should spawn between 1 to 5 minutes after you arrive. I recommend FW, Qeynos, Wyndhaven, Zentar's Keep route. (going to other cities could get you "marked" and you won't make it in time)

c.) If you are in a group, send group to Zentar before you log final part of quest. Once they are there, log the quest and coach or rez back to Zentar and get your mob.

On the gator quest I have seen many many people try and hunt them in the wrong parts of stonewatchers and waste a whole lot of time and effort. For those looking to hunt the low lvl gatorweres make sure you hunt them on the west side of the river that runs up from the southern ocean up through the zone and eventually runs into lake noregard. Gatorweres do not spawn on the east side of the river, i have seen many many people spend hours on end killing bull alligators trying to get one to spawn on the east side of the river.

Killing mobs spawn BOTH Great Ratweres and Great Bearweres in The Warrens (e) and (ne). I am a lvl 60 Nec and they conned lb to me. I would suggest running up and down the valley and wiping out all the mobs. The respawn is somewhat slow so you can quite literally kill everything in that valley and then just wait for them to spawn. I was getting as many as 4 to 5 Great Rats a night and saw plenty of Great Bears as well. Hope that helps.

Were Hunter

Quest NPC: Djivan Mertshak in Oasis

Speak with Djivan Mertshak in Oasis. He will give you a silver needle and ask you to search for a suspicious character with a pet rat in Hodstock.

In Hodstock you will find Slick Svenson and his pet rat, Bucktooth. When you poke Slick with the needle he and his pet turn into lycanthropes!

Both con red to a 60 and are not solable. Be prepared for a fight. The spawn time on the mob is about 10 minutes.

Loot the NTL item and return to Dijivan. He will then ask you to find a women named Lynda Elmquist in Jethro's Pike.

Jethro's Pike is located in Jethro's Cast (S). There you will find Lynda standing in a building. When you speak with her, she too turns into a lycanthrope! She, like Slick cons red to a 60. Her respawn is about 5-15 minutes.

After you have spoken with Dijivan he will ask you to speak with Marona Jofranka in Freeport.

Marona is located north of the coach near the dueling arena. She tells you to go speak with Dravin Slaerin in the Merchant House east of her. He is in the same building as Kradish Du'Klot from the Dead Hills quest.

Dravin gives you a pouch and tells you to go speak with Necrologist Ipstock in Hazinak.

Ipstock can be found standing by the river in Hazinak (C). When you speak with him, he too turns into a lycanthrope! He cons red to a 60 and has a pet named swarming minion. He, unlike the previous lycanthropes does not drop a NTL. Assure that the person with the quest is in the group when he is defeated in order to be "flagged." If accomplished, their quest-log should be updated. Return to Dravin.

Dravin then sends you back to Marona.

Marona warns you of a plot being conceived by an infamous vampire to summon undead beasts for what can only be assumed to be evil purposes. She tells you to return to Oasis right away and alert Djivan.

In Oasis, Dijvan gives you 2,000,000 XP. If you speak with him again, he asks if you want to become a permanent Were-Hunter. If you select yes, he will then put a "brand" on you preventing you from ever being infected by a lycanthropy. He will also give you a level 30 ring and it will unlock the were-hunter archetype and general CMs.

Where it says: "Int 0/Resistible with AR"

Is that to mean that your INT drops to 0 while in form?

No, it means the first form has no INT hit, while the Feral/Dire upgrades do, but are resistable with AR.

Make sense?
