Weapons you grew fond of and didn't want to let go...
In the long grind we sometimes come across weapons or held items that we really like and don't want to let go to get better equipment as we level. Sometimes that have really good stats that exceed some higher level equipment, sometimes they look really, really cool.
For me, it was the Ankextet (Ankexfen?) Naginata. It is a 2 Handed polearm that resembles the Japanese weapon by the same name; Level 27 with good damage and +10 STR. Okay weapon, but it was the first time I ever had equipment that I was asked about. My troll held onto it dearly until he found the Sword of Plagues. I plan on getting one for Fullpint as soon as he can equip.
How about you?

For me it was my level 5 Scimitar, I just loved that thing. I used it even at 20 over my 20 Quest staff that I got by mistake.
When Djardjar gave me my really cool stick I put it away in the bank as I still could not bear to part with it. Sometimes I take it out just to hold.

Ancient Mariner's Harpoon. Camped Naurticus for like a week to get it. Lasted 4 levels. Only recently replaced it with a Hammer of Devistation. Still sitting in my bank (no trade lore).

Hehe...
The ol' Gloomsorrow was hard to part with for a while... and recently Berkina and Krys came across the Goblin Biters that look so cool (only wish Krys could equip two weapons!). Dokoro still likes his Splintered Oar, which looks like a firewood log with a tapered handle... kinda silly, but has decent stats and 338 Damage.

Aha! I was grouped with a tank with one of those a while ago and wondered what it was. Probably WAR PAL SK RAN? Would be cool if it was bard usable.
That Splintered Oar sounds interesting Dokoro--you must show it to me sometime :-)

Re: Weapons you grew fond of and didn't want to let go...
I sure can.... haven't seen to many of them on the auctions. It looks identical to Ouch (I'm often asked if it is). I'll be happy to let someone borrow it if they wish... it served me well for a while. Doesn't do quite as much damage as say, the Blackened Iron Choppa, but the stats are nice to have. Dokoro is currently very happy with his new Champion's Mattock!

Never heard of it. But I'll put out some feelers.
