Wow! That is an impressive list, Talon, and an even more impressive idea!!! I love the idea of a VC rare hunting night!! It is something we've never done, but something we are more than capable of doing.
I'm up for it!!

Hehe. I really only copy and pasted it.
I wonder how many of these nameds we could defeat if we began in Halas at 9 and just started running :-)

Re: Lower level named mobs (stolen from EQOA forums)
Moothulog I believe is the name of the Necromancer I've proposed we take down in WF.
... and if we could actually get to Yael in Mu Lin's Reach, it would most certainly be the largest achievement the VC has ever made!

Re: Lower level named mobs (stolen from EQOA forums)
Below are the Rare mobs that I've participated in VC raids and seen taken down by our stout little guild:
Boss Boltug Thedruk (W) 25-26 (Boltug's blade, shield) - Done
Toady Kolop Thedruk (W) - Done
Drox Brokenleg Runnyeye (NW) 30-31 (Blackened iron gear, Welg's dagger of the dark) - Done
Welg Quickblade Runnyeye (NW) 30-31 (Blackened iron gear, Welg's dagger of the dark) - Done
Frostmange (?) Frosteye Valley (S) 21 (Frostmange bracers) - Done Berkina has the bracers banked if anyone wants
Gib'rha Alseop's Wall (N) 25-26 - Done
Cookie Alseop's Wall (N) 27-28 (Cookie's cleaver) - Done no cleaver
Lord Filthmaw Collonridge Cemetary (N) 27-28 (filth covered longsword) - Done This one was tough, because Filthmaw has quite an entourage...no drops
Wasp Queen Snafitzer's House (E) ?? (wasp queen's eye) - Done One of the first Rare spawn mobs the VC took down
Eerie The Green Rift (NE) 25-26 - Done Killed multiple times during Gnome 20 quest runs...no drops that I know of

Re: Lower level named mobs (stolen from EQOA forums)
::sorry if this is a hijack::
How does everyone remember specific stuff like this? I see people on the forums that can name all the specs of any specific rare, where it dropped, and who was the first person on their server to get it... I can barely remember my own stats from day to day, people ask me what weps my monk is holding at the moment, I have to go and look. Does it just go with the male football stat and car spec mentality?
However, I rarely get lost going to places I've been before in game (boy, is this one going to bite me in the future, I know) unless it's a dungeon. My husband can navigate any dungeon fine (all those years of playing Doom!), but he's lost on the surface. We make a great dual boxing team!

I take notes on everything.
Seriously. I play with like 6-10 pieces of paper and my laptop in arm's reach.

Re: Lower level named mobs (stolen from EQOA forums)
LOL Dj. I play with my EQ world zone map and when I'm crafting, I have a list of gems. On the zone map I have marked what the mobs are for the 17 quests so I don't have to go searching around for the mobs everytime I do the quests. Other than that, I just play.
I'm in the same boat as you Gnellie. I cannot remember what the stats are on my weapon or even its name. I' just like, "hey what a cool axe I get for the 23 quest. It has good stats for a ranger I, think I'll use it." Then the next day I forgot what the name of it is and the stats. lol
As for dungeons, I just walk around and I eventually find what I'm looking for.
