The grocers in Oasis and Qeynos are still selling food and water, at least for now. Not sure if the prices were the same or more, however.

I checked a lot of the starting cities, and have yet to find somewhere that still sells at original price other than the wall grocer in Misty Thicket. I created temporary alts in Grobb and Halas and both places had double grocer prices. I also checked with existing alts in Qeynos and Rivervale. Qeynos has double prices for both food and drink. The grocers in Rathe mountains are also selling for twice the pre-famine cost. The places I know of so far which are not selling any food/drink: Freeport, Forkwatch, and Tethelin (?!?).

I might try to long the quest, but I don't know of any existing chiktar or slithtar which would be appropriate for me to even consider attempting. The small hive near Wyndmonham would all be green except the queen to me now.

I wonder how much of this is some vain attempt at lowering inflation.

The Prof wins the prize!

Next the blacksmiths will all go on strike and repairs will cost 10x as much. Or perhaps they will all get killed off so that when your stuff gets broken you just have to throw it away and buy/farm new.

Then the manufacturers will have supply problems and the cost of vendor goods will go up 10x.

Oh and how about if you put something up on auction and it does not sell they just delete the item instead of returning it to your bank account.

Shhhhh don't give them any ideas!

Dearme, your Friendly (I got an MBA for this?) Druid.

I heard food was still available in Odus and PoS (?) or any of the planes that have grocers and are not on the "main continent"
Any truth?

Are the fishing merchants still around? If so, at least you have a readily available food source still. emoticon

That must be it! It's a way to get more people to actually try out fishing!

Food and drink is still available from grocers in most cities. In fact, the only grocers I know for sure that aren't selling are the ones in Freeport. However, even though most grocers still have goods, the prices on those items have doubled.

The other drink merchant in Freeport still sells drinks... the one off away from the other two merchants.
