Thanks for starting this thread Berk emoticon
Will be very interesting to see the changes.
I most wonder how much Dshinn's Reach is going to change, as well as some other NPC style locals like bandits and such.

I'd like to but I'd have to get the coach and I don't think I'll be able to make it on tonight.

Posts on the boards indicate that Slith Tar have overrun Oasis and Forkwatch, but the mobs aren't attackable (yet?).

Yeah! But I got the impression that they could do dmg to toons. I'll have to coach there on my run to GM so I guess I'll get a first hand look.

I hope this event or whatever it is involves some cool unique loot like the stuff that dropped during the FP orc raid!

I'm just a RH away from Sphinx Pyramid (currently standing by the wall in DFC), so I'll be in Rathe Mountains shortly after I log on, which should be by 10 EST tonight.

I hope I don't get 0wn3d by a DB basilisk. emoticon

Cool! Someone has taken over FW. I'll have to go check that out.

They should have giants overrun FP, that would be funny.

Ok, another part of the update. The Famine event has started and there are Slith Tar mobs in several cities. In those cities, you cannot buy food or drink from some, possibly all grocers. In other cities food or drink items cost double their usual price. I am trying to find which cities have food or drink at regular price. So far the only merchant I have found without double prices is the food merchant at the end of the Misty Thicket wall. I did not check the food grocer in Rivervale.

I also fought some Basilisks to see their new effect. They do cast some sort of paralyzation ability which roots for 15-30 seconds, and they will recast this ability shortly after it wears off. They still crit, though. Kinda disappointed about that.

And be thankful for that. All of the Slithtar Defilers and Chiktar Ravagers are red to my 55. All are non-aggro, non-attackable, so no cause for panic just yet.

There are Slithtar in Oasis and Forkwatch, around the city wells. Chiktar and Slithtar both all over Crethley Manor and Blakedown.

Quest givers are located in Crethley Manor (E). There are several new Farmer XXX NPCs standing in a circle. It seems as if each one gives a different quest, based on your toon level, so just find the right one for your level. At 55, I got quest to go kill Chiktar Queen and loot a brain. This mob is a rare spawn and is going to be camped for the foreseeable future, so I'm not even bothering with it.

But I will check to see just how low these level-specific quests go.

The grocers in Oasis and Qeynos are still selling food and water, at least for now. Not sure if the prices were the same or more, however.
