Were Infection
Is anyone out there infected or planning on following a were-path (were-creature or were-hunter)?
I have no intentions to. There are just too many good CMs out there, and I hope to be a Doomseeker eventually.

Re: Were Infection
I've been wondering about this too.
I think I'd like to be a gator. I'd probably only get the original form and not spend the CMs on the form upgrade. I wonder if you can get bite on the original form. Having a short recast attack would be nice.
Anyone know what is the extent to which you can't use some cities after infection??

Re: Were Infection
I had thoughts of eventually becoming a werehunter actually. Dambro and I got owned the day we attempted to start the quest though!

Re: Were Infection
I am a Lion Were and I love it. You get a Bad Ass group buff at 40. You get bite right after you get the 1st form. I most likely will not use CMs for the other 2 forms until I get my MC. The only draw backs are Coaching and Were Hunters. You will lose Moradhim completely and FP, Oasis and Qeynos have hunters that will track you in the city. The good thing is you can pick up Dark Solace and I think Neriak. Were HUnter will own a 60 so if they root you just bend over and kiss your ass goodbye. The Piker in FP has rooted me but has only attacked me once. So I'm not sure what the deal is there. Moradhim you can coach in but they hit you with the Mark of were. Then you cant coach out or talk to any npcs cause they are red faced to you. The hunter are hiding on the other side of the wall next to coach waiting for you. They will eat your lunch. You just have to adjust your coach routes alittle and I hate FP anyway. If you have any other questions let me know.
As far as Werehunter go I think if you become a werehunter you will not be able to get a class MC. Im not sure on that.

Re: Were Infection
WereHunter is a MC, but you can gain some of the benefits without going all the way to MC.
I figure to get some of the WereHUnter CM's and still be a gypsy.

Re: Were Infection
Interesting. Thanks for the info Critler. I didnt realize that the hunters would own a 60 even...Guess I'm more undecided now. I dont really want to be evil (like, hated in all my favorite cities :-) but the buffs plus looking like a tae ew would be pretty sweet. Hmph.

Re: Were Infection
I'm kind of in the same boat, I have planned NOT to go were with my main monk(granted, not OotSK, but still worth talking about, eh?) but right now I think the buffs are way too overpowered not to consider at the very least. *sigh* I hate trying to roleplay, there's no way I can see a monk deliberately going were.
Honestly, I wish WH were a better MC, considering you have to give up another MC for it, and I wish weres had a few more side effects to make up for the goodness of the buff. SK's love WH though :-)

Absolutely. Seems like it works decently for casters but I haven't heard any raving reviews from the other archetype Werehunters.

Still concerned that a future downside might appear! Imagine if a new expansion was added after all, a great new city and you couldn't even coach there! :-D

Re: Were Infection
Much thanks to Draexien, Dambro, and a dual-boxing Jonwonderful for helping me in the first leg of my gatorwere quest last night. The task at hand involved a triggered red con caster and two red con melees.
Now I begin the long swim from Blackwater to Dinbak. I should have taken into account how much river swimming this quest is going to involve since I don't have invis and thus probably shouldn't run from GM :-D

Re: Were Infection
More thanks in order! Much appreciation to Dokoro and Shadyladie for making the long hike down to Stonewatchers with me and helping me get in total (I think) ten gatorweres! This was a sweet boost to my faction, which is now 210! Thanks very much guys, getting to 1000 definitely isnt so daunting now that I have a good sized chunk behind me :-D
