I'm enjoying the show so much it's ridiculous. The scenes mentioned were some of my fav's too, and man I'm gonna hate to see it end in a few weeks. My ex-bro-in-law sent me season 1 to watch awhile back and I could NOT stop till I was done. It had me sucked in from the first scene and I haven't let up yet. Keep in mind I'm not a huge fan of TV heh.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Muleface1)Thu, 17 May 2012 07:36:16 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394590,from=rss#post394590https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394590,from=rss#post394590I agree with what was stated about this hour rushing past. Such an awesome job! My favorite scene this week is the same as yours Berk. The exchange between Arya and Tywin was very well acted, and the writing so good (as always). Seldom in life are things clear cut, and this fact is incredibly well portrayed in this series of books (and now HBO program). And while on that topic, what an amazing young actress Maise Williams is! She brilliantly portrays Arya's complex character. My other favorite scene was Tyrion striking Joffrey and saying, "We've had vicious kings, and we've had idiot kings, but I don't know that we've ever had a vicious, idiot king." The smack alongside the evil little king's face was long overdue, and I could hear the cheers across the land lol. The interchange between Arya and Jaqen H'ghar was also wonderful, including the end result!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Aerwyn)Tue, 08 May 2012 17:53:40 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394584,from=rss#post394584https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394584,from=rss#post394584Yeah! Great episode. The hours do indeed go by fast. My favorite part of the episode were when Arya is speaking with Tywin and doing her best to avoid Baelish. The conversation between her and Tywin was great! My other favorite part was: Ygritte: Hey, it's getting cold, we should lie down next to each other to keep warm. Jon: Ok... Ygritte: <snuggle, snuggle> Jon: Quit moving! Ygritte: <snuggle, snuggle> Jon: Quit moving!!! Either way is good for me as well. I did want to mention a couple of my favorite scenes this week though. So possible spoiler below for those who have not yet seen this latest episode or read the book.    * * * * * * * * * * The first of these was Brienne pledging herself to Cate's protection and defense, and Cate's response that Bri would always have a seat at the table of House Stark. The way the scene was executed brought tears to my eyes. Bri was devastated and lost following the murder of Renly, and through Cate's actions in terms of both welcoming Bri's allegiance as well as pledging in turn that she would not stand in her way when the time came for her to "deal" with Stannis, renewed the warrior's vitality and gave her hope and purpose once more. Ok . . . I'll stop for now and let someone else chime in if they like, rather than take up the whole episode heheh nondisclosed_email@example.com (Aerwyn)Tue, 01 May 2012 11:15:07 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394575,from=rss#post394575https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394575,from=rss#post394575Maybe we make a new thread specifically for GoT:Spoilers OK ... it's easier to skip a whole thread if you don't want to know than individual posts in a thread. That said, I'm OK either way... though I'm not watching the current season, I'm a longtime fan of the books, there's no way they could possibly include *everything* ... but from what I've read, they're not actually *changing* anything ... just leaving out plotlines where they need to. I'm happy to discuss background of characters, motivations, WTF really just happened, etc.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Gnellie)Mon, 30 Apr 2012 18:36:40 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394574,from=rss#post394574https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394574,from=rss#post394574I'd too like to know what the consensus is on whether or not this is a "spoiler thread" as you asked, Berk I suppose we could always preface a "spoiler post" with a warning at the top so those not wanting to view the spoiler could scroll past? On a different note . . . I've deliberately tried to steer clear of formal thread discussions on the internet about the series, as the first thing I was hit with when curiosity seeking at the beginning of season 2 on what the thoughts and opinions of the general viewing audience is, was everyone complaining about all the bits that have been left out from the books thus far. There is no possible way that every little detail and character can be conveyed piece by piece to the screen. I look past those pieces that are left out, and simply enjoy the show for the fine production it is nondisclosed_email@example.com (Aerwyn)Mon, 30 Apr 2012 15:38:02 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394573,from=rss#post394573https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394573,from=rss#post394573I agree, Aerwyn! Such a fabulous show! They've introduced your favorite character Bri Gnelle. Though she's not nearly as ~homely~ as depicted in the book, she's by no means glamorous heheh. And very tall, like I'd say 6'2. This last episode was awesome! Gotta love "the Imp." Reupped our HBO just for season 2, lol. I'm loving it so far, but the story is really getting messy/yucky. So many bad things are happening!! Fighting really hasn't started yet, still building.. but lots of new characters are being introduced. There's a guy in our SWTOR guild that has read all the books. I love talking with him about it in vent. Kinda funny, his main's name is Khaledrin. He decided to make an alt... he named her Khalessi. I smile every time he logs on her.   nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kazmara)Tue, 24 Apr 2012 04:34:28 +0000 Re: Game of Thrones on HBO !https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394529,from=rss#post394529https://btheorderofthesleeplessknights.runboard.com/p394529,from=rss#post394529So far so good.
