Crafting...

Crafting....

Oh my, and I thought crafting on EQoA was time consuming, space consuming, and gold consuming it has nothing on RoM!

After 3 days of constant 'gathering' and crafting I am a level 19 on all three gatherings. On crafting I am level 10 on Balcksmithing and Carpentry. And, just stated a Potions on another toon.

I think Im done for crafting for a little while.

For toons under 10 I can make some slightly-better equipment than you can buy!

However, the best equipment, so far, seems to be the equipment you get by doing quests and XPing.

What I found about crafting in game is most just use it for Potions lol.

Tho if your in a Guild, to advance it to next levels you have to gather/chop and mine ores to a set amount.

O well lol....

I agree, crafting is not fun.

And, I think potions is the only useful craft sofar.

Oh well... I guess I wont push this crafting too far. Too mush work for too little gain.

On my old toon on Govinda, I was a chef. I like the food buffs. They were worth my time up through level 20 or so.

I am still MIA right now. My new mobo did not fit my case right, so I ordered a new case, which should be here Friday.

I am a...

Level 20 Carpenter! emoticon
Level 19 Alchemist!

and level 33 gather in all three fields!

Todate, I've spent as much time GATHERING/CRAFTING as I have QUESTING/LEVELING!!

I've spent half of all the gold that I've earned from farming, questing, crafting and auctioning on buying recipes!!!

I wear crappy armor due to spending for crafting.

THe returns for all the investments into crafting, so far, is dismal! I still have hopes this will change with higher levels.

Still, I am hooked, can't stop, need to stop for the sake of my fingers. But, I contine.... emoticon

Re: Crafting...

This may be my last report on Crafting....

I am level 22 Carpenter and level 20 Alchemist.

I have spent over 500k towards crafting, buying recipes, cost of crafting, and etc...

Of my total online gaming time I have spent on the game, HALF of that time was spent on crafting and gathering. I could have used that time towards questing and leveling.

So far here is what I can make and then sell on the auction, something that peeps really wants and buys; NADA!

I dunno....

No one can say that I didn't really give it a good try! I did!

I am left 'wanting' in the field of crafting.

If, someone asks me, 'should I craft? I would have to say.... NO!

Re: Crafting...

That blows! I took a lucky guess when I started and decided that I wouldn't have time to devote to any crafting. I figured RoM was going to be a casual "log on, quest a bit, quest a bit, log off" game for me, more of a diversion from WoW and my 360. Looks like I guess correct.
