posticon Getting the Quest help you need (Sign up sheet is inside)

The objective of this thread is to outline how we can make certain guildies are getting assistance on quests.

Epics:
1. Homework. I can’t stress how important it is that you do your homework on your Epic before requesting guild help. The reasons for this are many, but mainly boil down to most of the mobs in Epics require a raid force to tackle, this means mailings need to be done, attendance calculated, requesting help from non-guilded buddies, etc etc

Having your homework done here specifically means that you have read and printed a walkthrough, asked around for those that completed an Epic that is the same as yours and made notes so you know exactly what to expect and what you will need, or both. Being prepared with a walkthrough (or notes) in hand prior to the Epic raid is crucial to a successful and fun Epic Mob kill, and saves a lot of confusion.

2. Know exactly where you are in your Epic. Asking for help to take down a big Epic mob (for an example, Synder of the Indigo for Good Tank), be sure that you have everything you need prior to that mob farmed and turned in. Your Epic quest log should tell you where you are in the process, so that’s the best way to verify where you’re at. If you need help with the steps previous to a big mob kill (e.g. killing Treants for enchanted treant branches), then by all means don’t hesitate to request for help on this, then when you have the items needed and everything turned in, log updated, sign up for assistance on the big mob.

3. “Sign up” for help. I will do my best to keep this thread edited and the requests for help current. Ed (Skycaster) will be tracking the list of requests and will be contacting the person at the top of the list privately to make certain that individual will be present and ready for assistance. If for any reason, you are not “ready” when the time comes, or RL commitments come up, Ed will then go to the next person on the list. For instance, if I request help protecting the prisoner for the end of Good Melee Epicsode 1, but have not yet finished farming all 3 pages required to spawn the prisoner, I’m not really ready for the Epic Mob and so would be bumped to the bottom of the list. What I would do at that time, is to put in a request for help in farming the pages that I need.

4. Epic Raid Leader. By default, the Epic Raid Leader is the person whose epic it is, but this does not mean that you can’t request that someone else leads the raid instead. Some are not comfortable with leading an Epic adventure and there is no problem whatsoever in that. What we do request in that case though, is that you ask someone else to lead. I’m happy to help and lead Epics for those that are not comfortable in leading their own, but need advance notice and for the initial homework to already have been done by the questor and for you to have that walkthrough (or notes) with you at the time of the Epic Raid. There are some other guildies that have also said they are willing to lead Epics, but asking around will be your best bet in this.

All other 50+ quest assistance.
I don’t want to reiterate what has already been said, but basically, please do the homework on the quest, select a leader (if not yourself) and be prepared at the point where assistance is needed.

I don’t want this thread to discourage anyone from requesting help, after all as Knights, we are a caring and helpful bunch of people that enjoy assisting our fellow guildies. What I’m hoping will come out of this will be that those needing the help will be as prepared as possible before the scheduled assistance.

Please list below what Class and alignment for your Epic, as well as where you are and what you need help with. I will do my best to keep the post below this one edited and updated as the list changes.

None emoticon I expected that some would be put off by the thread and that wasn't my intention. Perhaps some background info would help for those that were wondering where this all came from emoticon

I found my self planning the Epics for everyone wanting theirs done, researching the walkthroughs, doing the posting and mailings, leading the raids, petitioning help from buddies and other guilds etc emoticon

When assistance on these Epics was first offered, I stressed the importance of everyone doing the research on their Epics and that I wasn't going to execute them unless needed. What ended up happening is that I ended up still "leading" the raid, or some would schedule epic assistance, whole guild would be at spot and ready and we would have a no show.

After some time, I started feeling "burnt out" and frustrated, hence this thread.

I dearly want to see those wanting/needing the help to get it and am always more than willing to help. Just feel it is important that those needing the help come prepared emoticon

I hope this the right place. I have three quest from what I am told I will need help with.
Quest 1 Epic
I am at the point where I have to through the totems into the Lave and spawn some [sign in to see URL] you have all the ores, you are to fuse them by dropping them into the lava at a special lava location. All along the river of lava the riverbanks are steep cliffs, except for ONE area, where the banks slope down and meets the river's edge. This area is in Lavastorm (C).

Quest 2 Bonevruncher
Return to the Elder and give in the wererat disguise and tails. He takes them and gives you a weregator disguise. First up, The Bone Cruncher. Head to Dinbak (SE) and talk to him, he will de-spawn. Head back to shore and travel a bit east. He will be there and will con red, talk to him and commence to the arse kicking. This guy is tough, Warhog was tanking and all he said from the spiritmaster was \\\\\\\"11k nuke\\\\\\\".

Quest 3 Blow up the excavation site.
Orc Excavation Site"] Warlord Tregg (CONs RED) in Snowblind Plains(SE). He's located west from Anu village on a big hill surrounded by Frosteyes. Or said in another way; This excavation site is located due north from the "NORTH GATE". On top of this big hill there will be a CON that says "Orc Excavation Site". Kill Warlord Tregg and then CON the "Orc Excavation Site" and talk to it, which blows it up!

SO I do not know but Think I would like to work on Epic but will take help with any. I leave it up to you Mjghty Knights!

Thank You all for your help in many ways.

Once again thanks to all the Knights who came out to take down Graal, also to Sushi's pally for tanking. Now just 1 more part to go emoticon , I'll try to get some people together for the Ravenous Bear to get that part done then it will be off to Greyvax Caves for Quil'Eyne. For this mob I would like to take down on a weekend i have off, my first avail date would be May 27th, but if anyone else needs something done I will be happy to help. I beleive some of the Knights have done this before, if you wouldn't mind helping to organize this i would appreciate any help, info, and input you may have.

Tonight those that are on and able, Shawn has requested help on taking down the Ravenous Bear.

This coming Sunday we are headed for Grayvaxx Cave to take on the Vampire Lord Quil'Eyne for the Good Melee Epic if we can muster up enough people emoticon

The following weekend after the Unkempt Quest, since we will have quite a raid force for that, Paul (Nebekunezzar) has requested that we gather to flatten the evil bandit Synder of the Indigo!

Nebby - Saturday 5/26 after the Unkempt Warrior Event.

Yuuta Sunday 5/27 at 4pm EDT

Querall Plagued Sired, this coming Weds Quest night? (5/23)

Nancy, Peter and Pat, if you could all please let us know if this coming Quest night will work for you on getting your epic parts done? Both of these mobs can be had with 2 groups (or 1 in the case of the Siren), although the Pede would be quickest dealt with 3 groups, it is still would be good to get them off your Epic list so we can plan the next big Epic mob for ya emoticon
